Whatman Grade 41 Ashless Filter Paper 125mm is recommended for analytical procedures involving coarse particles or gelatinous precipitates (iron or aluminum hydroxides). It is used in quantitative air pollution analysis as a paper tape for impregnation when determining gaseous compounds at high flow rates.

  • Extremely low ash content (0.007% ash maximum)
  • 20 µm nominal particle retention rating
  • Fast filtration speed (Herzberg 54 s)
  • Commonly used for routine air pollution analysis and soil pollution analysis

Fast ashless paper for pollution analysis

Whatman Grade 41 filters are suitable for quantitative air pollution analysis as a paper tape for impregnation when determining gaseous compounds at high flow rates.

Grade 41 filters are also commonly used in preparing solid environmental samples (e.g., soils, sludges) for metals analysis after nitric acid digestion.
